What if. just for today you pretended you were a baby? Bear with me. I‵m not dumbing you down. When the announcement is made of a baby being carried in the security of its mother‵s womb— there‵s always a celebration.
The stuff that is required (perceived or otherwise) for his little bundle— goes into the hundreds of dollars. The bassinet— diapers— bottle warmers— breast pumps— onsies of all sizes— night clothes— day clothes— play clothes— shoes— hats— bonnets— bibs. Baths— toys— mobiles— books— money— bank accounts— trust funds— scholarship fund.
When the baby cries— there‵s always someone or many some ones ready to give a cuddle plus comfort. The attention is endless. Everyone vying for time to touch. Everyone just wants to be with that baby. When the baby poops— no problem. Change that diaper immediately. Hungry. food appears. Whatever the needs— just the slightest utterance of a cry of discomfort is placated.
